The Jordan River played an important role in a number of memorable events from both the Old Testament and the New Testament. It is known for being a fertile valley and an important landmark. The first mention of the Jordan occurs in the story of Abram and Lot, where Lot chose for himself “all the plan of Jordan” (Gen 13:11 KJV). The next time we come upon it, Jacob is wrestling with his adversary at the ford of the Jabbok, one of the major tributaries of the Jordan. PRAYER FOR MOTHER’S (BELIEVE)

Lord, help me believe that You are the way, the truth, and the life, My heart yearns for the power of Your presence. Never let me doubt Your love and mercy, but strengthen me to tell others of Your saving grace and never-ending love. May Your Spirit direct my path daily and strengthen my commitment to Your purpose. For without You, I am nothing. But with You, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Praise God. In Jesus name. Amen. BIBLE SIGNS & SYMBOLS (TABERNACLE)

The tabernacle was a religious structure built during the exodus when God’s people lived in tents. The Hebrew word mishkan, translated “tabernacle,” literally means “residence” or “dwelling place.” It is related to the word for God’s glorious presence, shekinah. Thus, the very word tabernacle connotes God’s indwelling presence among his people.
