21 After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

22 So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.

23 And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.

The only surgical procedure mentioned in the Bible is circumcision. This was done for religious rather than medical reasons wand was not ordinarily performed by a doctor. In many ways, however, advances in surgery occurred more rapidly than progress in other branches of medicine in many countries.

WILL CHRISTIANS FACE A DAY OF JUGDEMENT?

Believer was one day stand before Christ and be held accountable for how they have lived (2 Corintians 5:10). Apparently, believers in the first century trembled at the thought of such a judgment. Truly the thought of such a judgment. Truly the thought is sobering. Yet John shows how we can drive such fear of it from our lives.
