CHOSEN PEOPLE- A name for the people of Israel, whom God chose as His special instruments. As a holy people set apart to worship God, they were to make His nameknown throughout the earth. In the New Testament, Peter describes Christians as members of a “chosen generation”
Scriptures on Chosen People

CHRIST (anointed one)– A name for Jesus that showed that He was the long-awaited king and deliverer. For centuries the Jewish people had looked for a prophesied Messiah, a deliverer who would usher in a kingdom of peace and prosperity (Ps 110; Is 32:1-8; 61:1-3; Amos 9:13). Jesus was clearly identified as this Messiah in Peter’s great confession, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matt 16:16)
Matthew,Mark,Luke, and John are the stories on Jesus Christ.
CHRISTIAN- An adherent or follower of Christ. The word occurs three times in the New Testament: “The disciples were first called Christian in Antioch” (Acts 11:26); Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to be a Christian” (Acts 26:28); Peter exhorted, “If anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed” (1Pet 4:16). In each instance, the word Christian assumes that the person called by the name was a follower of Christ. Christians were loyal to Christ, just as the Herodians were loyal to Herod (Matt 22:16;Mark 3:6; 12:13).
