IS IGNORANCE, AT ITS CORE, A SPIRITUAL PROBLEM?

Wisdom, the opposite of ignorance, is a gift from God. It is a gift that He gladly gives to those who ask for it in all earnestness and faith (James 1:5). Real wisdom and knowledge are spiritual in nature, having to do with the inborn cunning of our common sense or the learned themes of education. “Fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,” Solomon said (Proverbs 1:7). Therefore, the absence of wisdom-ignorance-is definitely a spiritual problem. Ignorance means we do not know the things and ways of God, and that we are unfamiliar with His person and the intent of His will. All these traits of ignorance are spiritual problems and indicate a shallower life than the life of the person who possesses wisdom.

JEREMIAH 33:2-3 – 2.Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name.

3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
