To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for to be certain of the things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1
“God, I don’t get it! Why did ________ happen? I just don’t understand!”
Ever had these thoughts? Everyone does. These thoughts can be accompanied with anger, grief, disappointment, or even a sense of rebellion-wanting to turn your back on God. But circumstances that prompt these thoughts are what test and prove your trust in God. Faith is to believe in God’s goodness, love, and sovereign control. . . no matter what. It’s being certain of God’s good character, even when you may not see it. It’s being sure that God loves you and is taking care of you, even when He feels distant and silent and like He’s not even there. Faith says, “Even when I don’t understand, I will choose You, God. I will trust You, no matter what,” Does God have your full faith? Can you trust Him, whatever happens?
