NO HELP FROM STARGAZERS

The words astrologers, stargazers, and monthly prognosticators refers to people who studied the stars and the movement of the moon in order to foretell the future. This practice was especially popular among the ancient Babylonians.

In Babylonian the astrologers were members of a specific caste. Persons born into this caste continued to practice the stargazing and sign-reading skills inherited from their ancestors. Astrologers were among the people with magical powers summoned by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia to interpret his strange dream (Dan 2:2).

Isaiah declared that God would judge the people of Judah for their sins and that nothing could thwart His purpose. He-the Creator of the moon and stars-was more powerful than those who read the moon and stars.

ISAIAH 47:13 – Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.
