WHY IS THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST SO IMPORTANT TO CHRISTIAN FAITH?

The-Reality-and-Relevance-of-the-Resurrection

The resurrection of Christ is at the very heart of the Christian faith. It was prophesied in the Old Testament (Psalm 16:10; 1 Corinthians 15:4). Hundreds of witnesses attested to it (1 Corinthians 15:5-8). It gives the gospel its hope and power by explaining the benefits of the forgiveness of sin (1 Corinthians 15:14-15).      Furthermore, the resurrection of Jesus provides a glimpse of the future that awaits all who trust in Him (1 Corinthians 15:20-26). The day is coming when the bodies of deceased believers will also be raised, and death will be “swallowed up in victory” (1 Corinthians 15:54). The great curse of death will be undone, and life will be eternally free.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:14 – And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
