There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,

A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

Trusting God Even When You Feel Spiritually Numb

There are seasons in life when a believer may feel spiritually numb. Prayer may feel empty, worship may no longer stir the heart, and reading the Bible may seem difficult to connect with emotionally. A person may still love God, yet feel distant, tired, and emotionally disconnected from their faith. These moments can create fear and confusion, but spiritual numbness does not mean God has abandoned His people.

Every believer will face seasons when their spiritual life feels dry and empty. There are moments when prayer feels difficult, worship seems routine, and the excitement once felt in serving God appears to fade away. These dry seasons can leave a person feeling weak, discouraged, and distant from God. Yet the Bible reminds us that even during spiritual drought, God is still faithful and able to renew our strength.
