Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

² And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

Growth requires resistance. In the physical world, muscles strengthen when they are challenged by weight and pressure. Without resistance, there is no development. The same principle applies spiritually. Faith that is never stretched remains fragile, but faith that faces opposition becomes stronger and more mature.

Obedience is easy when the path is clear and comfortable. It is much harder when the road is uncertain and the cost feels heavy. Yet throughout Scripture, hardship is one of the primary ways God teaches His people deeper obedience. Trials reveal whether we follow Him only when it benefits us or whether we trust Him even when it requires sacrifice.

Every powerful testimony begins with a test. Before victory comes challenge. Before breakthrough comes pressure. Before deliverance comes difficulty. Struggle is not an interruption to your story. It is the chapter that gives your testimony meaning and depth.

Without a test, there would be nothing to testify about.

Suffering is never something we naturally welcome. It stretches us, challenges us, and often pushes us beyond our comfort zone. Yet Scripture consistently teaches that hardship has purpose. When surrendered to God, suffering becomes a tool that builds endurance, strengthens faith, and shapes godly character.
