1. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Righteousness is one of the most important truths in the Christian faith, yet it is often misunderstood. Many people think righteousness means being morally perfect or never making mistakes. Because no one can live perfectly, they assume they can never truly be right before God. The blood of Jesus changes that. It declares believers righteous not because of their performance, but because of His sacrifice.

Sin does more than bring guilt. It damages relationships, steals peace, distorts identity, and separates people from God. From the beginning, sin has brought destruction into the human story. But the blood of Jesus was shed not only to forgive sin, but to restore what sin destroyed.

Many people live in constant worry because they feel unsafe, unprotected, or unsure about what lies ahead. The blood of Jesus provides a foundation for freedom from fear by giving believers security, forgiveness, and confidence in God’s care.

The cross was not clean, quiet, or symbolic. It was violent, painful, and covered in blood. Many people struggle with the reality of the suffering Jesus endured, but the bloodshed at the cross was not meaningless. It reveals the seriousness of sin, the justice of God, and the depth of His love for humanity. Understanding why the cross was bloody helps us understand why it matters.
